Getting Started:

1. Board and take your seat on an Xpress coach
2. If your wireless device does not automatically display your wireless network choices, open your wireless network options and select “Xpress_Commuter_Wi-Fi”.
3. Open your Internet browser. Xpress_Commuter_Wi-Fi page opens.
4. Accept the terms of usage.
5. Click Log In. You are now connected to free Wi-Fi

    a. If the Log-In Successful page opens, you can browse the Internet.
    b. If you receive an error message, repeat steps 2-5.

As you may know, streaming video and music, increase number of users, and normal vehicle movement, signal strengths may vary and you may experience occasional loss of service. We have taken it upon ourselves to restrict certain sites that will definitely cause a delay for your continued uninterrupted use.

Xpress_Commuter_Wi-Fi is a free service that SRTA is offering to its riders while they are commuting on an Xpress coach. The only requirement is that you accept the “Terms and Conditions” before you access the service.

No, SRTA’s Xpress_Commuter_Wi-Fi uses an unsecured network. However, you must be on board an Xpress bus in order for your wireless device to “see” the network.

Xpress’s wireless network is as secure as any other public open wireless network. The actual security of the connection will depend on your computer or smartphone and the application you are using. You should use the same precautions while on SRTA’s Xpress_Commuter_Wi-Fi network that you would while using any other open wireless network.

SRTA’s Xpress_Commuter_Wi-Fi will always be identified by the “Xpress_Commuter_Wi-Fi” service set identifier (SSID). If you see other available networks, but “Xpress_Commuter_Wi-Fi” does not appear, please notify SRTA customer service so that we can check the equipment when the bus returns to the garage

Due to normal vehicle movement and cell tower coverage, signal strengths may vary and you may experience occasional loss of service. Wait a few minutes and try again. If you continue to experience problems connecting, it may help to reboot your device.

Xpress_Commuter_Wi-Fi is a free service that is shared by all riders on your coach. While we hope that you are able to enjoy the benefits on the Wi-Fi network, we are currently blocking access to sites/apps that will use a significant Wi-Fi bandwidth so that all riders may experience reasonable speeds.

While we have tried to limit the number of sites blocked, we might have accidentally blocked some. If you feel that a site is blocked that should be accessible, please fill out this survey and let us know!

While we hope that using Xpress’s Wi-Fi network will be a benefit to our customers, there are current limitations to the service we are able to provide. While we are hoping that you are able to use the service with reasonable speeds, factors like lack of cell tower coverage and an increased data usage from other riders might impact you experience with the service.

You must accept the “Terms and Conditions” before you will be allowed access to Xpress_Commuter_Wi-Fi. Open a browser window to the SRTA Xpress splash page, then click “Accept” to accept the terms before attempting to access the Internet.

Once you log onto Xpress_Commuter_Wi-Fi, you will not have to log back in as long as you stay connected to the network. Occasionally, coach movements and cell coverage may cause you to temporarily become disconnected. If that happens, simply reopen your web browser to re-accept the “Terms and Condidtions” agreement.
